The Cloud Wars are certainly hotting up – if you have not seen the CNBC Q4 2019 report take a look back.
- AWS continued to dominate with strong growth well on track to top the previous years earning, pushing towards the $40B mark
- IBM continued to struggle with growth, but not as expected as they combat with legacy data centre and failed Softlayer hangovers
- GCP showed solid growth as it broke out the Cloud revenue buckets for Ads versus Cloud. Cloud revenue alone almost doubled, holding up the increasing (but not substantially) Ads business
- Azure is interesting displaying growth but nobody really knows the breakdown of revenue. It is 365 legacy holding up the Azure growth
